Mrs. Wedad's Message
As we say goodbye to a very busy January and welcome an eventful February, I want to thank all of the academics for their tireless efforts and planning. Our students should also not go unrecognized for their hard work and love for Ignite.
In response to KHDA's announcement, PE classes and other daily activities can resume within the school beginning Monday. The Canteen will be open again for Middle School and the food carts will continue for other grades. Our external provider for extra-curricular activities, Gulf Star, will begin on Monday, January 31. If you're interested in signing up for these please see their information below. Ignite after-school activities will begin Monday, February 6. Email communication to all parents with the sign-up link will be shared Monday, January 31. Parents will have the opportunity to register their children Monday - Thursday next week. Zake's, our uniform provider, is fully stocked with all sizes and styles available. It is imperative that our students all come to school in the Ignite School Uniform. Research shows that wearing the uniform prepares students for learning and improves overall performance and behavior. Our school leaders will be monitoring school uniforms from Monday, January 31. Further communication regarding this is within the Principal message.
We are proud of our eight students that registered to compete in the Arab Reading Challenge. The challenge focuses on grades 1 - 12 across the Arab countries. Children are encouraged to read and summarize books in a series of 5 colored passports with their teachers checking their summaries. I look forward to sharing with you their progress.
Thank you to those parents that have contributed to our Parent Survey. The link is below and will be open through Tuesday. We invite everyone to participate.
We continue to welcome new students for Term 2 and host Registration Days on Monday and Wednesday from 3 - 5 pm every week.
