Week 36 (May 29 - June 4)
Mrs. Wedad's Message
I want to thank all of the parents for their support while attending our parent meetings this week. It is always nice to see our families in person. We are so fortunate to have a community of parents who are passionate and involved with their children's education. We receive great feedback that we are able to incorporate into future plans.
A reminder that the last of school is July 6th and students are expected to be in school every day for the full day. Unless your child has a medical appointment they will not be excused for early dismissal.
The High School Grand Opening plans are finalized and invitations will be shared next week for the morning of June 14th. There are also many field trips planned throughout our final weeks in addition to our International Day and Graduation Days. Many fun activities for our children and families alike!
If you have not yet re-registered your child, I encourage to do so. We will have our Move-Up Day very soon. This day will enable all re-registered students the opportunity to experience their next grade level and meet the Grade level team.
Student Projects & Events There are many fun and exciting projects that our students will be working on these net few weeks. Recently grades 5 and 6 completed their volcano projects and we have displayed their work in the Middle School Science Labs. The Innovation Fair will be held later in June and the theme will be Formula for Greater Good. Students have received their directions on what's expected for completing their projects. We look forward to seeing all our families at the STEM Parent Workshop that will aline with Innovation Fair days, where all student projects will be displayed.
Class 2C and 4C will be performing in the Black Box Theater. 2C will be performing Haji simulation with combined efforts of ELA and Islamic class. 4C will be performing the Frog that Went to Heaven on June 17th.
Our annual Spelling Bee has been announced to students and will be held June 16.
Student Book Reports Students receive awards for 10, 25, 40 and 50 Book Report submissions in the Library. We proudly have over 800 Book Reports submitted and look to finish strong this academic year. Ermina, in 4A is up to 173 Book Reports! She will be receiving a special certificate!
