One of the skills our young leaders will begin to develop is the ability to debate an issue or topic; in other words to inform and persuade an audience of their peers about the validity of their opinions. Fortunately, some of our students have already begun training in this key life skill in their classes. See the included sample of wonderful pictures from Ms. Jasha's 5th Grade classes!
As you know our Winter MAP testing has begun and we are expecting good progress! Does your child know their MAP testing goals? If not, they need to ask their homeroom teachers!
Another exciting event concerns our 8th graders who have started to hear more about what next year will look like in their first year of high school!
We are so excited to finally begin discussing this next chapter of Ignite’s development and we are looking forward to sharing it with the parents of our incoming freshman class at two upcoming events:
Tuesday, March 22nd, 11:00 am-12:00 pm in the Multi-Purpose Room
Thursday, March 24th, 2:00-3:00 pm in the Multi-Purpose Room
A third session to be held upon our return from Spring Break will be announced shortly.
Parental Involvement
Following our 6-point parental involvement program mentioned in the past few newsletters, a third main way that we work with parents is called
Volunteering. There are many ways we recruit and organize parent support: One way is by eliciting your support through providing your opinion and preferences by completing our various surveys. We sincerely appreciate the time you take to complete these surveys.
