A message from Mrs. Wedad

Dear Ignite families,

Thank you so much for a fantastic opening and a successful second week of school, we couldn’t have done it without your support and help!

Ignite teachers, staff and I will work hard to continue the success and happiness by building strong relationships with parents, students, and stakeholders.  We want everyone who attends our school to be excited and have a sense of belonging so that they can achieve and excel in a positive and supportive environment. Next week, we will focus on teaching and learning, and building academic confidence in each student through data-guided instruction and consistent delivery of a rigorous and relevant curriculum. Please make sure that students attend school every day and encourage them to stay for our upcoming afterschool activities.

Thank you for your continued support. If you have any input or recommendations, my door is always open and I am available to listen to your feedback or concerns. I hope you have a restful weekend.

Elementary School

After two weeks of relationship building and establishing routines, norms, values and other important aspects of classroom culture, next week we formally begin all aspects of the curriculum.

Middle School

Students started off the year successfully learning their new schedules and adjusting to their new teachers. Science rocked its way right out onto our courtyards as the temperatures are starting to cool off. We can't wait to see all the fun activities in Middle School this year!

ASA & ECA

After-school Activities & Extra-Curricular Activities

For the safety and well-being of our students and educators, we have postponed our school-provided ASAs until October 3rd for a start date. This gives our students ample time to acclimate and our teachers more time to prepare exciting new clubs for our students.

Gulf Star will still commence on September 19th. Book before September 17th to receive special discounts. They are offering free 30 minutes Taster Sessions next week where students can try out an activity before committing to it.

Parent-Teacher Association

The PTA invites all parents to join them for our first annual Ignite PTA meeting.

• Multi-Purpose Room (Enter through main Reception)
• 1:30 pm
• Supervised activity rooms will be available for students whose parents attend the PTA meeting.
