Mrs. Wedad's Message
Today's readers are tomorrow's leaders. This week we started Dear Mr. Write Time. This allows extra time daily for students to practice reading and writing in the classroom. The goal is for children to not only improve but find their love of reading and writing. I challenge every child to arrive on time at 7:30 with their healthy breakfast and participate in Dear Mr. Write Time.
CAT4 testing that was completed this week not only helps identify what your child knows, but identifies how they learn. Teachers are able to use these results and identify how your child learns differently in each core subject. Our teachers will begin to differentiate accordingly.
As we prepare for our National Day festivities, be reminded of the safety and well-being of all of our students. We will be checking at the entrance for your Al Hosn app which needs to be green and dated within 30 days if you are vaccinated. For our non-vaccinated parents, you must show the Al Hosn app with the negative PCR test within 96 hours.
Traditional food will be served to children during the festivities. You may send a snack and lunch with your child on this day if you wish.
Parents will be allowed to join their children as they participate while following the below-scheduled program. We ask that all parents adhere to this schedule to ensure every student is able to enjoy the celebration fully and safely.
There are many new exciting opportunities for children to showcase their artistic skills over these next few weeks. Be watching for announcements in your weekly Ignite Sparks.
