I enjoyed meeting the parents that attended our Literacy Workshop this week. You can view the presentation below covered during this week's Parent Workshop. A reminder that parents are welcome to check out books from the Library before and after school during drop-off and collection times. Next week's workshop will be focusing on MAP testing.
We are excited to start our ABC Countdown to Graduation in KG. This will begin next Wednesday and each day focuses on a letter and activity for the students to count down the days until they graduate. Following Kindergarten Graduation teaching and learning will continue in the classroom until the end of the school year.
A reminder of Benchmark testing that starts next week. Below is a link with the schedule and more information. A few tips for success:
- Ensure your child gets plenty of rest (8 hours minimal).
- Allow time to wake up and prepare for the day, don't be rushed.
- Ensure your child has a healthy breakfast.
- Most importantly, just relax! Encourage your child but no need to stress!
As previously mentioned, we will be hosting our Ignite Talent Show on June 8th at 5PM. Please click the link below to register your child if they would like to participate. The deadline for registering for the Talent Show will be May 20th.
There will be a make-up picture day for those who need to have photos taken at the end of May. The date will be communicated in next week's Ignite Sparks. If you would like to submit an order for your photos, you may do so until May 20th by submitting these to Ms Marya.
With increasing summer temperatures, be sure your child remembers their water bottle every day. There are water coolers available for refill throughout the day in each hallway.
