Mrs. Wedad's Message 

What a wonderful week we had at Ignite! From the Quran competitions, Middle School Iftar, KG in our Elementary Science lab, the Green Team's field trip for Sustainability, International Day and KG2 Graduation planning.. so many wonderful events and interactions with students and families.

I want to remind all parents that during Ramadan and thereafter all classes are conducted face-to-face. Students need to be in school every day wearing their proper uniforms.

Monday and Tuesday we will be dedicating our day to helping families re-register for next academic year. If you have not already done so, please come to Admissions on Monday and Tuesday where they will help complete the process with you. Myself and the Principals will be present from 9 - 10 AM to answer any questions you may have and to share plans for next year. We are so excited for the many great things that are happening!

The Middle School Iftar was a huge success. It was a lovely evening spent with families and students. Watching our students interact and engage in cultural and social practices was so rewarding. The food was out of this world, thank you to all who contributed!

This will be the last week for students to bring in their Ramadan gifts for our support staff. Please click the links below for more information.

Ramadan Timings

Monday – Thursday

Arrival 8:30 – 9:00 – class begins promptly at 9 AM

Dismissal 1:00 pm – all students should be collected no later than 1:30 PM

Friday

Arrival 8:30- 8:40 – class begins promptly at 8:40 AM

Dismissal 11:20 – 11:30 – all students should be collected no later than 11:30 AM

Another busy week!

We had another busy week full of student learning and activities, one of which featured our yearly Quran competition held during the holy month of Ramadan.

Thanks to the efforts of our dedicated Islamic Team led by Ms. Rahma and Ms. Manal, our talented students were able to demonstrate their abilities to recite Quran and Hadith verses. The competition was held over three days and was judged by members of the Islamic staff.

Middle School Iftar
The week was capped off by our very own Student-led Middle School Iftar. Our energetic Middle School Student Council designed a survey of what activities students wished to participate in and one of them was a Middle School oriented Iftar. Their wish was granted and this week’s events were capped off by a delicious feast which helped all of our students and adults to break their fast for the evening.

Green Team Field Trip

Our Green Team accompanied by Science teachers Ms. Jasha, Ms. Ayssar and Ms. Nada, headed to a sustainable garden where they learned how to crop plants, water them with fermenting water and prepare composts. These skills will be important as we develop our own Ignite Sustainable Garden.

MAP Scholarships

Ignite School offers scholarships to the top-performing students who have demonstrated the highest attainment on their Winter MAP tests. Scholarships given will receive an additional 5% tuition discount was shared with all recipients this week. Congratulations to the fortunate and well-deserving winners!
