Mrs. Wedad's Message 

Thank you for a wonderful and productive school year. This past year past has demanded much of students, families, teachers and staff. We are grateful for your support and trust in our school and look forward to a successful 2022-2023 school year.

We truly appreciate your support and involvement in our activities and events, we can’t thank you enough for your hours of volunteering, chaperoning, and doing whatever is necessary to support Ignite students. Special thanks to our PA who went above and beyond to add to our student's great school experience.

As a reminder to our families, a mandatory reading list has been shared with students by grade level. Please set aside time for your children to read and practice this summer. eLearning platforms such as IXL and I read Arabic will be accessible to all ignite students during the months of July and August.

A final word to Ignite Students: Thank you for all your hard work throughout the school year; we are proud of you, Don’t forget your Summer Reading Assignments! Have a great Summer and see you August 29th!

Admissions, Finance and Director's Offices will remain open throughout the summer months. Please feel free to stop in and say hello!

Important Reminders

Our Finance Team wants to remind all parents that have not yet cleared their Financial Plan for 2021-2022 to please arrange this to ensure your child is able to transition smoothly into 2022-2023.

As we gear up for the summer break, Ignite has prepared the Summer Spectacular to keep all students engaged with fun activities. Students who complete the Summer Spectacular will receive a Merit Certificate upon their return to school.

Congratulations on completing an outstanding school year! Thank you to all parents, students and staff for making 2021-2022 a memorable year. We’ve witnessed considerable growth in our internal and external assessments and many of our most successful students received scholarships. Our students have also matured socially, emotionally and their talents have been nurtured in other ways as a result of participating in our internal extracurricular activities as well as Gulfstar after-school athletic activities. I am proud of everything our students, staff and parents leaders have accomplished including our fabulous year-ending International Day and I am looking forward to another great school year in 2022-2023.

To our Kindergarten graduates, I look forward to seeing how you’ve grown over the summer and how the root of our tree will continue to blossom into the branches of the Elementary School in this coming school year.

To our Middle School graduates, congratulations once again and we look forward to welcoming you to Ignite High School! I excitedly anticipate our school’s continued success each year until the class of 2026 and beyond!

Throughout the summer, please regularly check our Ignite Sparks Newsletter and website for information on summer programs, Freshman orientation day, announcements and preparations for the beginning of the school year on August 29, 2022. Around the middle of August, we will publish a summer packet with Back to School information. You will also receive information throughout the summer to best prepare all of our families for the new school year!

Thank you to the parents who took their time to provide feedback at the year-ending meeting and the school leadership team has already begun planning for school improvement based on your feedback.

It is hard to believe the end of this school year is already here! We had successes and some challenges, yet despite all, we continued the work that has to be done to ensure the safety and educational needs of our students. There are countless people to whom I owe an expression of gratitude and hope that we continue working together in the coming years. The presence and support of our wonderful Ignite families have made this a much stronger working community supporting to achieve the school’s goals and ensuring our students are our top priority. I would like to thank our hard-working and caring faculty and staff who have made a huge difference to our students. Their commitment is outstanding and our kids are the beneficiaries. Thank you for providing rich and engaging, well-rounded experiences for our students and knowing that education is about wonder and fostering curiosity, along with the development of social skills so needed to succeed. For these, and a million other things, we are truly grateful.

Summer can be the best time of the year to spend quality time with family and friends and forget about school for a while. However, I also hope that you are encouraging your children to do daily reading to keep the most important organ exercised, their brain. All students should have received summer reading packets. New brain research shows that reading is one of the best ways to build neural pathways that are vital to the development of adolescent brain growth. 

In closing, I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate all students who graduated this school year. 

I am honored to be your VIce-Principal and I am excited about this upcoming school year. I wish you all a very happy, safe and enjoyable summer. Please be sure to take time as a family to talk, play and READ together.I look forward to seeing you in August.
