Mrs. Wedad's Message
Ignite had an eventful week. The school was humming with many activities and loads of learning. Students enjoyed Friendship Day, celebrated 100th Day of School, attended Field Trips and prepared for the upcoming Innovation Fair. All the while, we are preparing for our upcoming visitors next week with our KHDA inspection.
The Ignite School Innovation fair will feature student projects and presentations from KG1-G8. The projects and presentations are part of the implementation of our Innovation and Sustainability programs at Ignite School. All projects are aligned to the Cloud Institute for Education Sustainability Standards and to the NY Common Core and Next Generation Sciences Standards. Likewise, these themes coordinated with Expo 2020. Our students have been participating in project-based learning, which is an inquiry driven and student-led process of learning. They are very excited to showcase their projects. Parents are encouraged to visit our Gymnasium to view this event during the scheduled timings.
Dr Marwa distributed information to all of our students this week regarded healthy eating. Perhaps your child had conversation with you about packing their healthy lunches. This is a great opportunity to discuss the importance of healthy eating with your child.
Reminder that only KG parents are allowed to enter the building from the Front Entrance. If you do not have your Parent Lanyard please be prepared to provide your EID to receive a Visitor Pass . If you do not have your Parent Lanyard, please visit the Admission's Office to complete this easy process.
We are proud of our students that are consistently in proper uniform and will begin a recognition program for these along with good behavior.
Congratulations to our first student to reach 100 Book Reports with Mrs Regina, Ermina Naqvi in Grade 4 with Mr Rederick! We look forward to celebrating many more student achievements!
